Our Mission

The mission of the Tolland Education Foundation (TEF) is to inspire – and fund – innovative, creative learning experiences in Tolland Public Schools that enrich academics and build life skills for our youngest to our oldest students of all abilities.

Our Goals

The Tolland Education Foundation (TEF) seeks to sustain its 15+ year track record of being a consistent resource for the Tolland Public Schools’ superintendent, principals, teachers, paraprofessionals and staff members. Through the generosity of local residents and businesses, TEF is able to ‘show up’ for them when their unique ideas to provide ‘life skill’ lessons to students surpass their funds.

Who Benefits

Our youngest to our oldest students of all abilities, of course! And when your school system is strong and builds life skills for Tolland’s youngest generation, the community as a whole grows stronger, too!

A very big congratulations to Mrs. Ross and Mrs. Herrick of THS! They received a grant from TEF to develop a hydroponic growing system in the existing greenhouse. Students will be able to explore urban/sustainable farming practices, engage in project based learning centered around current farming needs, water conservation and soil/nutrient conservation. As well as collaborate with culinary classes to use the crops they harvest. 🍅🥗
Thank you for continuing to engage, innovate, and "grow" ideas to foster learning in our schools.

Congratulations

Yahooooo!

Help TEF in congratulating Mrs. Campbell at TMS for her approved grant for a 6th grade math "Thinking Classroom". This innovative instructional classroom will help students use non-permanent vertical surfaces to better explore math concepts. Thank you for providing students the opportunity to get out of their seats to active thinking, work faster, longer, and be more engaged. ... See MoreSee Less
